How to play Tiny Town

Tiny Town is a free online city building puzzle you can finish in a coffee break. Instead of managing budgets and zoning like a full city simulator, you get 24 buildings — houses, parks, shops, factories and roads — delivered one at a time in a fixed order, and a 6x6 grid to put them on. Each building scores points the moment you place it, based on what sits directly next to it. Houses love parks and other houses and hate factories; shops want customers and a road out front; factories want roads and company but keep them away from homes; roads score for connecting to more road and for serving shops and factories. Tap an empty cell to preview exactly how many points a placement is worth, then tap again to build. On desktop, hovering shows the preview and a click places; the arrow keys and Enter work too.

Strategy tips: the queue shows your next three buildings, so plan neighbourhoods instead of reacting — a park placed early pays out again with every house you put beside it, and a road laid before the shops arrive turns each one into an easy +10. Keep factories in a corner cluster with a road, because every house they touch costs you six points. Twelve cells stay empty at the end, so don't panic-fill the middle; space is a resource. Undo takes back one move when the preview surprises you.

The Daily town gives every player the same 24 buildings in the same order, with one attempt — compare scores with friends by sharing your town as an emoji grid. Practice mode deals unlimited random towns and tracks your best score in the browser. No download, no signup, works on phones.
