Twelve letters sit in threes around a square. Build words of four letters or more by hopping from side to side — you may never use two letters from the same side one after the other, though you can come back to a side later. Each new word has to begin with the letter your last word ended on, and the chain continues until you have used all twelve letters at least once. Tap the letters or type them; enter submits a word and backspace takes a letter back.
Your score is the number of words it took, so fewer is better and every board here can be done in two. The way in is to look for the awkward letters first — J, V, X, K, W — and ask what word could possibly contain them, because those are the letters that will strand you if you leave them to last. Long words are your friend: a nine-letter word can knock out most of the square in one go, and the letter it ends on is your springboard into the second word. If you are stuck at eleven letters used, do not start again from scratch; work backwards from the letter you are stranded on and find a word that begins with it and contains the one you are missing.
