Word Groups is a free online category puzzle: sixteen words hide four groups of four that share a theme. Tap words to select exactly four, then hit Submit. A correct set locks into a colored row with its category label. You get four mistakes — after the fourth miss, the remaining groups are revealed and the puzzle ends. Colors hint at difficulty: yellow groups are the most straightforward, then green, blue, and purple for the trickiest categories. Deselect clears your picks; Shuffle rearranges the board when you want a fresh look without changing the puzzle.
In Daily mode everyone gets the same puzzle for the day, so you can share a spoiler-free emoji card of which groups you found and how many mistakes you used. Practice mode deals a random puzzle from the bank whenever you want another round. Tips: look for obvious sets first (colors, animals, sports), watch for words that could fit more than one theme, and save purple-tier wordplay for last.
