The Daily Mini Crossword is a free online crossword puzzle you can finish in a coffee break. Tap any square to select it and see its clue in the bar above the grid; tap the same square again to switch between Across and Down. Type with your physical keyboard, or use the built-in on-screen keyboard on mobile — letters fill the grid and the cursor advances automatically, jumping to the next unfinished word when you complete one. The arrow buttons in the clue bar step through every Across and Down clue. Stuck on a corner? The Check button flags wrong letters in red so you can fix them, though purists can finish without it. The timer starts on your first letter and stops the moment every square is correct, so speed-solvers can chase a personal best.
