Road Hop is a free online lane-crossing arcade game: guide a pixel frog through an endless scrolling world of roads, rivers and railway lines, one hop at a time. Every press of an arrow key (or WASD) hops the frog exactly one square; on a phone, swipe in any direction to hop that way, or simply tap the board to hop forward. Your score is the furthest row you reach, so the only way is up.
Each terrain type plays differently. Grass strips are safe resting spots. Roads carry cars and trucks at different speeds and directions — time your hop through the gaps, because a single touch ends the run. Rivers are deadly water: land on a floating log and it will carry you sideways, so hop off before it drifts you off the edge of the screen. Train tracks are the fastest killer of all — when the red warning light starts flashing, a train is seconds away, so clear the rails immediately.
The camera also creeps forward on its own and speeds up as your score climbs, so you can never camp on a safe row for long: fall off the bottom of the screen and the run is over. Traffic gets faster and denser the further you travel. Your best row is saved in your browser — keep hopping and beat your record in this free browser crossing game.
