Nonograms — also known as picture cross, picross, griddlers, or paint-by-numbers puzzles — are logic puzzles where the numbers reveal a hidden pixel picture. The clue numbers outside the grid tell you the lengths of the runs of filled squares in that row or column, in order, with at least one empty square between runs. For example, a row clue of "3 1" means a block of three filled squares, then a gap of one or more, then a single filled square. Start with the biggest numbers: a 10 in a 10-wide row fills the whole line, and large clues overlap themselves no matter where they sit, so you can lock in their middle squares immediately. Use × marks on squares you know must stay empty — that is half the logic.
