How to play Brick Breaker

Brick Breaker is a free online Breakout-style arcade game: slide your paddle along the bottom of the screen, keep the ball in play, and demolish all six rows of colored bricks. Move the paddle with your mouse, by dragging on a touchscreen, or with the left and right arrow keys. Click, tap, or press Space to launch the ball. Bricks in the higher rows are worth more points — the top row pays six times what the bottom row does — so ambitious players tunnel a channel up one side and let the ball rattle around the high-value bricks near the ceiling.

You start with three lives; a life is lost whenever the ball slips past your paddle. Where the ball strikes the paddle controls its rebound angle: hits near the edges send it out at a sharp angle, while center hits return it nearly straight up. Use that to aim at stubborn bricks instead of just reacting. Clearing every brick advances you to the next level, where the ball moves faster and the challenge ramps up.
