Battleship is the classic naval strategy game: you and the computer each hide a fleet of five ships on a secret 10×10 grid, then take turns calling shots to find and sink the other side. Place your Carrier (5), Battleship (4), Cruiser (3), Submarine (3), and Destroyer (2) by tapping a cell to preview, then Place to confirm — Rotate flips the preview without locking it in. Tap a placed ship (or its chip) to remove it and try again, or hit Randomize for a quick setup. When every ship is docked, start the battle. Tap any untried square in enemy waters to fire; hits light up red, misses fade out, and a sunk ship is announced the moment every cell of that hull is hit. After your shot, the computer fires back on your fleet. Sink all five enemy ships before yours go down to win.
Strategy tips for Battleship online: space your ships so one lucky cluster of shots cannot wipe half your navy, and avoid packing everything along a single edge. When hunting, a checkerboard search finds ships efficiently because every vessel covers both colors of the pattern. Once you score a hit, fire the adjacent squares until you learn the ship's orientation, then walk the line until it sinks — do not wander off after the first splash. The computer uses the same hunt-and-target logic, so protect your longer ships and keep pressure on known hits. Fewer shots and more of your ships left means a higher score — race the AI to a clean sweep of the enemy fleet.
